The clip shown below was captured from 8mm film with our Moviestuff supplied Workprinter XP projection system via a 3-chip professional model Sony DV Camera across the Firewire interface to a dual-processor Pentium 4 PC with a RAID 0 hard disk subsystem. The clip was processed in Canopus Edius Version 2.5 to add the opening title and background music. Procoder Express processed the movie and output in a Windows Media Video (WMV) file. The playback size and quality were controlled to allow for display of the video on a broadband connection (256 kbps setting). Better results could be obtained with higher bitrates, but at the expense of file size and hence an increase in download time. We hope you enjoy this clip of Niagara Falls in 1972.
